What We Do

Every day, millions of kids and youth go to school, but fail to learn. Many end up falling so far behind that they drop out of school early, trapped in the poverty they were born into.

We're on a mission to change that. With help from incredible supporters like you we fund projects that give kids an opportunity to learn and complete an education.

What we do

We partner with genuine and talented local leaders and organisations to run effective initiatives that help kids learn.

We believe for work to be as impactful as possible, it has to be led by local leaders and local organisations.

We support a variety of different learning initiatives.

That could be courses for kids who have fallen behind in school, teacher development programmes, school leadership courses, or other innovative ways to strengthen public school systems.

There are many ways to measure impact. With any support to our local partners or a specific learning initiative, we work to find ways to measure its impact as precisely as possible.

With learning initiatives it often means measuring the learning levels of kids before and after being a part of the initiative. It could also mean gathering data on school attendance, exam scores, or drop out rates.

You can find examples of our Impact Evaluation Reports right here.

For now we are exclusively focused on supporting initiatives and organisations working in Nepal, as this is where our network, expertise, and knowledge is the greatest.

In the future, when we’re ready to do so, we will expand our work to other countries, where public school system struggle to deliver learning to its students.

Stories from the field

Local partner staff taking 12-hour bus rides to the field. Parents who want only to see their kids succeed. Local youth who want to change their own future, and the future of their country.
These are some of their stories.
